Crop vs blurred background
Cropping fills the whole frame by zooming in and trimming the edges — it looks the most native and immersive, but you lose whatever falls outside the new shape, so it is best when your subject is centered. The blurred-background option scales your entire video to fit inside the new frame and fills the empty space with a blurred, enlarged copy of the same footage. That keeps every part of your original visible, which is ideal when important content lives near the edges, and it still looks polished rather than showing black bars.
